Question:

Is lethal injection the least painful execution method?

If yes, why not all the states are practicing it?

  2. Yes it is, that question should be addressed to the Governors of those states that do not.  Not here.

My cousin works at a federal prison where executions are administered and he said that yes the lethal injection is the least painful method, there are two injections, the first one puts the inmate to sleep and really all the inmate feels might be a burning sensation as the injection starts to go through the body but it's not painful, and the second injection stops the heart from beating.

    I am guessing that not all states believe in execution.

  4. Yes, it's 2 parts--one to knock you out like anesthesia, and the second to stop your heart beat. Then you die.

    It's certainly less painful than electric chair, gas chamber, hanging, firing squad, etc...

  5. A lethal injection is a two step process. The first puts you to sleep, similar to if you were having surgery. The second one stops your heart, so you never wake up.

    Yes, I would think this is the least uncomfortable, and  I would expect this is by far the most popular method in use today.
