My cousin Lex or Lexi is Alexis. she is a college grad with a career, new husband and baby and a good life since we were kids but is never happy because she is spoiled, prim and picky with a discreet wild side. over all she is a good person though.

  21. Is lexi a good name?

Answer: I think of Lexi more as a nick name.

i love the name lexi. here are my question:

    1. what is the best way to spell it?

Amswer: I guess I would either go with Lexi as you have it or Lexy which is not as nice as Lexi I think.

    2. should i name her something else and nickname her lexi?

    Answer: YES DEFINITELY

What you name her is up to you and whoever is involved in the name choosing. I think Lexi is a nick name and would look too childish when she gets older. Imagine that name on a diploma, on her office door, on her business cards, on any kind of business or political career. Short names do work well when in politics and in that case she can use Lexi. However when she is a grandmother herself, having her named Lexi sounds too girly and I feel everyone should have an adult sounding name with nick names of course. I just do not see an 80 year old named Lexi.

    3. do you like the name lexi? Lexi as I said is a nice nick name but that should be the extent of it and on her birth certificate she should have a real name such as Alexandra or whatever name you choose. You can call her Lexi and all the people who know her might too, Just leave your daughter the option of an adult sounding name in case she feels she outgrew Lexi.

When I think Lexi, I think a child with dark hair, nice little sun flower dresses and I also think cheerleader of young teenager. It is a youthful name but is really not a bonafide name you would want on a diploma from a university. I do see it on election posters. Lexi ____ for Representative. In the end what matters is that you like it and are 100% sure baby is Lexi and nothing else. Just remember the baby in your arms the day she is born will one day be an adult with family and do you picture her named Lexi then? If the answer is yes, then Lexi it should be. Just give her a middle name in that case that is more traditional in the sense she can use that if sh chose to. She can have the L. as an initial and then the middle name. For example she decides Lexi is not a name for a business woman or college grad so she can have all her official papers as L. (for Lexi) Elizabeth (example of a middle name) Porter (another example for a last name. Then L. Elizabeth Porter looks good on all official business. You just wouldn't want to name her Lexi and giver the middle name Kaylee for example since both names to me sound very childish. Nice names but not adult sounding names. When you do not know the person, I would find Lexi as the name of my doctor a little obstacle. I guess that might just be my thing. I have a doctor now named Ritchie as a first name and just does not command the respect that Richard would. He is a good doctor but Ritchie is the name of the little boy playing in the sandbox, not the one who is a doctor. Same with Lexi. She is always going to be Lexi to you so it should not be a hardship to give her another name instead and just use Lexi as a nick name. Good luck.

  22. 1. Lexy

    2.  Nickname her lexi/lexy and name her Alexis or Alexia

    3.  It's all right.

    4.  No

    5.  Alexia or Alexis a nice simle girl, but Lexi sounds a little S****y.

  23. 1: Lexy

2: Yes. Alexis, Alexa, Alexandria, Alexandra, Alexia, Lexia, Lexis, or Lexa

    3: Yess.

4: No, she won't, and I think of a girly girl, skinny, dark hair and freckles. Adventurous and strong, but still girly all the same.

  29. No it's not.

The way you have it is the only way I've seen it other than Lexxi which is similar.

The only names that is a nickname for are like Alexandra, Alexa, Alexis.... and Alex is a much better nickname for those.

    No I don't, I think it's gross.

Preppy, annoying, wears to much make-up, bratty, but pretty.
