  1. This herb is a good herb for allergy but they told this root a natural corticosteroids because it has action like corticosteroids.

I advice you to continue taking your herb but not for long time as it may increase the blood pressure so measure blood pressure frequently.

another advice is taking the herb intermittently is more safer with almost very minimum side effects.

don,t take another drugs for allergy and you must tell your doctor about this herb

  2. I'm a guy and I've taken licorice root and it had no adverse effects on me.

  3. Yes it is safe. It contains phytoestrogens but these only have the effect of balancing out what is imbalanced.

Licorice is a great anti-inflammatory, it soothes membranes, aids digestion, supports the liver, helps gastric ulcers, is a major adrenal tonic, helps coughs, is anti-fungal, and is even antiviral for herpes (works topically only for herpes, not internally).

Long term use at high dose can raise blood pressure in people with already raised BP. If you fear this then just take some dandelion root or potassium. The only reason liquorice may raised BP is because it may increase sodium. Potassium is the electrolyte that balances this.

  4. Licorice root can cause high blood pressure, low blood potassium and heart problems, low testosterone and should not be taken for more than a few weeks.
