Is life absolutely feckless and absurd?

I want to read opinions considering this, please no theistic "So-and-So gave you a reason to live dada dada oooh yeah"

What I mean is this and here's my absolute reasoning behind this:

I figured that life is nearly a cycle. You go to school for what? For money. So for one I have considered money as a reason for living. Money brings happiness (superficial or not). It can provide the entertainment. Money allots a home and then you beget some babies (Mmmm babies.) The babies do the same dance, just different personalities.

I'm thinking we just spend our lives working to make money, with whatever activities in between. If we take all of this away then it's simply nothing. So, haven't we created meaning through work and entertainment? In a sense, aren't we like animals with creativity?

And yes, I feel animals to be well, worthless.

I no longer want to work, I hate school (don't get me wrong I love to learn, reading is a joy) and I find no use for entertainment. As though, I have to be strictly ignorant to be happy.

I know this is a lot, but I want to read some opinions considering this.

Also, Heaven. What do you do in Heaven? Because that's our goal (or most people, be awesome and you're there!) Once we reach our goal, is there another? I feel we live to achieve goals, one after another. Always one after another.

I feel there is no way to know any truth whatsoever concerning actual collective meaning because it's unknown. Everyone asks these questions and no one knows (generation after generation of lies). It's like the girl in Taiwan, who we don't know to exist, so essentially she's nonexistent to me or you. That's basically ignorance.

Why am I writing this?

  1. Life is absurd. You can either kill yourself, or learn to play the game.

But it doesn't have to be pointless. Everyone has things they enjoy. We've got an entire world to us, with so much variety it's difficult to fathom. When we get bored with the world, we've got the rest of the universe. I find solace in that we've got a nearly unlimited amount of places to explore, things to learn, people to meet.

I live because, frankly, life is enjoyable. I like to travel, I like to play video games, I like to write. I don't like to work, but that's how the game is played. I don't like to contemplate death, but it's nice to know I'm not alone in that.

I'd like to see as much as possible, I'd like to leave a legacy, and I'd like to have fun. I can't do those things if I'm dead, so I go ahead and play.

  2. I'm not really sure what you'd like an opinion on, so I'll do my best. You choose the thoughts you wish to dominate your life. If you choose to think that you are living life just to complete a cycle, than that is what your life will become. If you choose to think "I'm going to fulfill a purpose today" you will fulfill a purpose. Life is what you make it to be. If you are a Christian, you will believe that Life is designed to serve God. How do we (christians) do this? By living a life in the rhythm of Jesus (following his example).

  3. Well,  am not going to give you an answer as long as the question but I will tell you that I think living shouldn't be about goals and money.  It should be about learning, and survival.  If we learn we can better survive.  And if we can better survive then we can learn longer.  Seems like a good little circle there.  Much better than money and school.
