  1. Depends what you think about the UK. Alot of people complain about the Weather here but to be honest, I think Britains weather is fine. I don't complain when it's cold like most people. I'm not the sort who likes getting sun burnt in Spain or anything. But depends what you think. Many people beleive the UK is boring, but to be honest thats their own fault for not discovering whats in England or the rest of the UK. I find there is plenty to do. I have enjoyed holidays in places like the Lake district more than holidays abroad.

But New Zealand is meant to be a stunning country. However, the Weather isn't meant to be that great and apparantly there is even more crime there than in England in alot of the cities. I have heard from some people it is actually very similar to the UK. But really, you want to have visited both countries then you can decide in your own oppinion what you think is better.

  2. Having come from New Zealand, we are struggling wtih other countries with rising food and fuel costs...

The weather depends on where you are - the south island is cooler, with Christchurch, around 12 degrees at the moment, where the warmest places in the north island are around 19 degrees as a daily high. There are many micro climates in New Zealand, partly because of the mountainous typography and the maritime climate. Some places are wet, some parts are dry and sunny.

The only other country I have been to is Japan, and it is a great country but I missed the luxury of space we have here in NZ.

It is more a lifestyle decision rather than anything else that bring people to NZ. In terms of high-flying job opportunities, career advancement, big money, many people have to leave NZ shores to find that. This is mainly because NZ is a smaller market, so struggles with realising economies-of-scale, so there is greater overhead costs from employers. But, maybe with a change of government later this year, there will be greater incentives for businesses!?

  3. Life is what you make it. I dont think the country matters, with exception of really poor countries, provided you have food , shelter & loved ones around you.  I have heard NZ is a beautiful place, with good lifestyle, but you have to think if it is the right place for you.

  4. life is wat u make it where ever you live

  5. If you're going to move across the world, why not go to Australia? At least it's warm!

I've heard most of New Zealand is similar to England/ Scotland in temperature... isn't that the thing we complain about most?!

It does look beautiful, though. Think I'd miss the English way of life too much... I do like my 24 hour Tesco

  6. Hey

I'm not New Zealandish but i have been there several times on holiday and business trips.

Firstly jobs are plentyful, but are mostly unskilled (many basic jobs but fewer advanced ones) and the pay is slightly lower than what you would expect in the UK, but this doesnt matter too much as most things are cheaper. The people there are very helpful and friendly.

I would describe NZ as what the UK was life about 50 years ago before all the urbanisation.

There are some lovely beaches in NZ and the landscape is breath-taking.

Would i reccommend living in NZ - totally!
