Is life going to be too convenient that we won't have to move a muscle?

You have to hate the consumer world. We have computers so we don't have to write in cursive or print anymore, cars, those vehicles you stand on and you press a button, elevators.

In Europe people move in an escalator, in USA and CANADA we stand until we need to take a step.

What do you think?

  1. I may be young (sixteen), but I think about this often.

I think some of the things we have today are... NICE,

But it's getting a bit ridiculous.

  2. No. No matter what people will have to do some moving around.

  3. Yeah I bet we're going to end up like the people in Wall-E did haha...but really all these convenient things do make us more lazy so it's possible...

  4. i think in the far future thats exactly what will happen. thats what its all about in technology anyway.... making you do more with as much less effort as possible

  5. The interesting part of it is, that the more labor saving devices that are developed, the more time we have to pursue outside interests - which often include high level sports. There are probably more runners/joggers trotting around the cities today, than at any other time in history. In the winter we head for the hills to ski in record numbers. We play tennis until we drop from exhaustion. and the list goes on and on. So I don't think people will turn into blobs anytime soon.
