  1. life is favourable on mars more than moon. it is said that when mars was just created, it had an atmospehere and that got vanished by the  suns rays. it is also said that water once existed but vanished away as soon as the atmosphere.

  2. Yes, quite a bit of life support equipment along with a pressure vessel (or a space suit if you want to go outside).

Life can't survive on the moon (some bacteria may have survived dormant in a space probe but that's disputed) and Mars wouldn't have much life if it has any still left (it probably did in the past and while conditions aren't very good for life there's still a possibility that something is alive or even just dormant there, we have been surprised at the places on Earth where we didn't think life could survive that had life).

Europa, Callisto, Ganymede, Titan and Enceladus look like the best bets in our solar system with Ceres as an outside possibility.

  3. Life is possible on both, but also highly unlikely on both. But between the two, we would have a much better chance of finding life on Mars, and this is why.

The moon has no atmosphere, and thus doesn't have ANY air, except for a few hydrogen atoms per square centimeter. Also, because it has no atmosphere, it cannot maintain a stable temperature. If the sun is shining on it, it is extremely hot. If it isn't, it is extremely cold... temperatures approach that of absolute 0.

As for Mars, the situation is still bad, but not as bad as it is on the moon. Mars has an atmosphere, and has about a 24 hour rotation. Although Mars doesn't have any oxygen, it does have a lot of carbon dioxcide... because of this and the atmosphere, Mars is considerably hotter than the moon, even though the moon is significantly closer to the sun. Mars' average temperature is about -150˚C... still well below freezing, but considerably warmer than the moon.

The only possible type of organism we would find on either of these would at most be some very hardy mico-organisms that didn't need any oxygen or water, and were capable of producing their own nutrition... bacteria like that do exist, but they are rare. I would be suprised if we found any life on Mars, much less any life on the moon.

EDIT: Ah yes... there's nothing like good old "God" to mess up the scientific understanding of Mars. God won't create life on Mars... he didn't even create life on Earth. Anyone heard of that little theory we call EVOLUTION?

Lets deal with these answers one at a time:

One guy said "can't we just drag Mars closer to the sun and then God will put life on it?" Not that simple. Dragging Mars closer to the sun will cost a lot more than terraforming it. Moving it closer to the sun won't naturally oxygenate the planet. Bad idea. God isn't going to do anything. He isn't going to magically put some people on Mars.

  4. the following conditions are to be needed if u want to live on moon or manrs

For MOON-- Honey should be there so that people can do honey moon there.

For MARS-- We need to have womens from VENUS.

if these conditions are available then its possible to live on these places!!!!!

  5. natural life would have to be very different on the moon and I don't believe it could ever have existed there. Mars may have harbored a form of life in the distant past, but there would be nothing we could identify as advanced. The planet lost its water and atmosphere too early in its history to have allowed life to progress beyond basic structures.Perhaps we are the real martians. You may imagine a silicone based life form that can absorb it's life giving chemicals directly from the soil, but can you see thought processes develop beyond mere survival?

  6. Proper life basement,Water and Oxygen!

  7. you need things like the chemical composition here on earth.

  8. I don't think it's possible. It will be too expensive and risky to put people on mars. Isn't it better if we can Drag Mars to the earth orbit and let God recreate the life first ?. Is that possible ?
