Is life so terrible in Poland & other eastern europe countries that so many people want to come to the UK?

This isn't intended to be a racist question - I'm just curious - whenever I see east european countries on tv they look fantastic - but it may be different if you live there I guess

Ha! Two million Poles have emigrated to Western EU countries. They are leaving Poland for economic reasons. Medical staff is underpaid. One doctor told me that he figured his hours a month in his hospital and then his pay. The result, less than $3 an hour.  A young man in Germany reported he was earning 5X what he could in Poland for a similar job. Actually, Poland is a great place to live if you can afford it.

i wouldnt say their lifes are terrible i think its more that they can earn more money here and give themselves or their families a better quality of life

our country is richer

we have better health care and better jobs

we have a better way of life

they come over here ,to make more money than they would at home,then they send it home to their wives and family.

Its because they get free health care in UK if they are ill  and the wages pay much better than there countries!!

If you were a highly qualified professional and you could travel somewhere and work for much more money, you probably would.

Thanks to the inequalities of Capitalism there are places in the world where we have seen doctors working behind bars because the pay is higher!

Contrary to what ignorant Daily Mail readers believe, European and former Communist countries have better health services and social security than we have.

They look nice but the money is so much better here that its worth moving, sending back some cash & then going home again.

the countries are beautiful

people come to the uk for the wages, normally about 3 times what they could earn at home
