The story of Job in the Bible tells of a man who lost everything he owned.  His homes his family his livestock all were destroyed in a day.  On top of it all he was covered in painful sores.  But through it he learned a valuable lesson.  There is always hope and recovery can be complete.  I would advise you to read Job chapter 33 for his take on your question.

Some days seem easier than others, but life is full of challenges. "True pain" is relative and subjective, but we all experience it.

It is important to face each challenge as a learning experience and an opportunity to grow. We should celebrate every time we overcome an obstacle.
