I played this guy on the other day and i hit a heavy drop shot so it bounce very little. So he ran up very quick but when he reach for it, i can see clearly that he lift the ball up and put it over the net.... i don't know if this legal or not though so i didn't call it.

  1. no!!!!!!!!!!

  2. no that is not legal the ball has to bounce of the raquet not you put it over the net. I 90% sure.

  3. only if its a serve

  4. no its not that would wualify as a double hit you can only hit the ball once as in the ball makes contact and bouces off you rauwet,  no lifting or anything like that, but most of the time its very hard to catch

  5. No it is not Legal because how you can hit the racket

  6. if it is unintentional, meaning he tried to hit a clean ball, then it was legal. however, if he was trying to lift the ball to get it over, then it is your point to claim. same goes for the double hit on the racquet.

  7. No, it is not legal. You can find the official rules of tennis at http://www.usta.com/AboutUs/~/media/USTA...

  8. I'm fairly sure that what you described is totally illegal.   If the strings of one's racquet were rally slack, one could capture the ball in this manner all of the time when rallying, run to the net, and drop the ball over.    Next time you play this person, you might like to do this, perhaps!

  9. not legal
