I heard today that lightning helps make the grass greener... is this true?

Is it beneficial to any plants?

  1. Yeah. I have seen people grow plants in closets and stuff using special lamps.


  2. most plants yes.

  3. I seem to remember that lightning interacts with the nitrogen in the air immediately around the bolt, somehow allowing it to subsequently mix with the rain producing a natural fertilizer.
