  1. Some say that is true and there were a few reports on the news, but as long as your not hugging the pylon or having lunch right next to it, I'm sure you'll be fine lol

  2. False, there isn't the slightest evidence for this.

They may cause interference to TV if they are close and they don't look particularly attractive but as long as you don't try to climb it you should be fine.

  3. Not that i know of, we did this topic recently in science and apparently there is more radiation coming out of your TV.. (in other words not a lot...)

If the radiation coming from the pylon was multiplied then yes it is possible to be harmful but they release very little... not enough to harm you.

  4. Please don't worry i work with the stuff all the time.Unless you have your head just over 6ft from a 400 000 volt wire (not pylon) for a long period of time like months you will be OK.

    P.s  that is not possible.

  5. You move there at your own risk.

It probably depends on how log you live there for.

Consider that electricity is an electro-magnetic force, and so there would definitely be stronger-than-average magnetic fields around in the area.

The human body, and particulary the brain and nervous system, relies on electro-magnetic signals for coordination and operations.

This above average magnetic field near to the house "could" chnage the behavior of the nervous system and the brain.

I am sure the research to this will be bias towards building new pylons, however, in all fairness, the harm from the magnetic field may be really small, and will only kill or do damage after 200 years, which is further than our life span.

So in conclusion, it is an invisible force where full research has not been concluded, and one needs to weigh up the pros of buying a place nearby.  I personally would pull away from the house if the pylon was an eyesore.  Or if it was within, say, 200m.

  6. Its not the pylon, its the cables , if they are near the house or overhead then I would not take the risk, especially if you have children as they would be more susceptible to the electromagnetic radiation.

if the government ever did find proof that there was a problem they would have to relocate most of the national grid.

  7. No one has really proved anything yet but be careful about it falling over in high winds as that can be very dangerous.

  8. yes if you have kids that run around then wot do u think if ur legless  one night and u walk around i'll leave the answer to you

  9. Some people say its bad but i wouldnt think it could give you a brain tumor as electric doesnt have radiation in it.
