Is living in Brooklyn Cheap?

Im officially moving to NY and I need to know is brooklyn, two bedroom split rent, cheap. New Yorkers only please

It's all relative. Compared to Manhattan, Brooklyn is cheap. Compared to Ohio, Brooklyn is very expensive.

A two bedroom apt in an OK area of Brooklyn is about $2000 a month.

Compared to what? Manhattan? Yeah, it's cheap. Compared to what Brooklyn was ten years ago? Not so much.

Its depending on how much you're willing to pay. I personally got a good deal. I am currently renting the first floor of a house (2 bedroom, 1 bathroom, a kitchen, dining room, living room, and working space) for $1,800 and this house is located close to subway, rite aid and school. Its the perfect place for me. If you want to check for good deals I'd recommend check the advertisements from chinatown as they usualy rent good houses for low prices.

My friend, it depends on how much you're willing to spend a month for an apartment in Brooklyn. There are some places, such as Downtown Brooklyn, where rents are at, or close to, Manhattan prices, and there are other place that a very much moderate.

So it all depends on your budget and how much you're will to spend.
