  1. No.  Plenty.

  2. I think its getting more and more similar every day. Especially the shops - we are being invaded by awful plastic multinational highstreet shops: Boots, Tescos, etc, etc.

Main differences are the currency, the accents, culture, etc. We have different holidays. Ireland was very poor until recently, and so people feel that now is the best of times. In England there is a real feel that the best is behind them (true or not).

Irish people are generally more outward looking and more interested in other countries. And while English people like to blame everything on foreigners, Irish people tend to blame their politicians for failings.

But besides those things, life is not very different really. Its not very different anywhere in Europe really.

  3. For one, its a lot better

  4. emm i thnk that the only differences are the pay with pounds we pay with euro .......they don't teach irish.......thats it really...my view is living in the republic is better...lol

  5. The Republic is much better. The people are under a much better education system and still have a very good sense of community. The currency is different and the sports aren't all the same, with the GAA being strong in the Republic. Television is also different with RTE1 and 2, TG4 and TV3.
