Is looking at the world through feminist eyes a flaw, or, a defense mechanism

My last question of the day.

A good friend of mine is maybe 50. She is a professional.

Most issues she takes to heart and talks about have some feminist quality to them.

Really, to the point that I believe she uses this viewpoint as a defense mechanism, that, in essence, EVERYTHING in her life can be explained away from some inadequecy men have, some insecurity men have, some bias against women that guides and limits her...

I think she uses this as an excuse not to take risks, not to challenge herself intellectually, and to maintain control of her life emotionally. To me, her world would open up and be better if she could explore new ideas and patterns of thought!

  1. Modern Feminism is a social cancer so attempting to view the world from the perspective of such a hateful philosophy is non-normative (pathologic).

Anyone who affiliates themselves with this hateful movement is an egregious threat to humanity.

Anti-feminism is normative as it's in the interest of self-preservation.

Misogyny is the likely sequela to the inherent misandry of modern Feminism.  A man who associates himself with feminism is a m*******t by definition.

  2. Yes, some people use Ideology to blind themselves to reality and/or excuse away their problems or blame some kind of all powerful outside force as to why they aren't rich/famous/well off or are having bad luck

  3. That's your friend. This is the rest of us, who recognize gender biases but usually choose to step over them.

  4. So many of us cling to one ideology or another for hope.  This can block us off from being open to other things.

  5. i think its more of a defense mechanism because they are only looking at one side of the picture, not the big picture, maybe something happened to them dealing with men that they didnt like and then decides to "fight" for issues dealing with men... i think feminism get some people a little angry (men and women (me)) and put more negativity on this feminism. they should focus on equality on both genders, of every race,

  6. It could be a little of both, like drinking to battle depression.

It works , for a while , but in the end makes things even worse.
