Is los angeles ready for the big one ???as they say...?

Still waiting after 54 yrs. although we had a really big one in 1994. It was the longest 20 seconds of my life!  The aftershocks that continued for days every 10 minutes were bad too.  I don't even think about the "big" one anymore.  People in other states seem to hear about the quakes we have alot sooner then we do.  They have to be pretty big for me to feel them.  I no longer live in a structure I now live on wheels!

No. I don't think any large metropolis is ready for the big one. Look at Miami, New Orleans, and Biloxi; how prepared were they for big hurricanes?
