I'm 15 weeks and 3 days pregnant. I've lost my appetite since about the 6th week! I've lost about 15lbs. I'm wondering if at this far a long is there something to worry about?

Why does this happen?

  1. Not being hungry is normal when you are pregnant because of your growing baby pushing on everything inside of you but losing 15 pounds is not healthy for your little one you should call your dr and let him know whats going on so they can figure something out, i would be taking an extra vitamins daily or drinking ensure everyday to help out you and your baby

  2. yes it is normal, though losing 15lbs is not, instead of gaining a pound a week you are losing a pound a week and thats not good. Is it because of morning sickness? If not I would seriously call up my doctor. Not to fret you but these are the most critical weeks for your unborn childs development. Nutrition is highly highly important.

As for me I never lost my appetite it was food food all the way lol then again Im having a boy lol well good luck to you

  3. this was normal for me in all of my 8 preg. I would lose so  much. However, no that I am on insulin i have to force myself to eat. you need to make sure that you keep your fluids up and eat atlest breakfast.

  4. I am at that point right now but I am 23 weeks, and food just grosses me out...just make sure you make yourself eat, you want baby to be healthy

  5. Yeah that's pretty normal... when I was at that point everything was gross to me so I just didn't eat and ended up losing weight too.  Give it a little while longer and I promise you will be eating everything you see.  Good luck :)

  6. Watch it for a couple more weeks (meanwhile doing the best you can to choke as much as you can down), but go to your doctor if it doesn't improve.  I lost about fifteen pounds around the same time as you and still haven't gained it back (I am now 36 weeks) due to hyperemesis and gestational diabetes that went undiagnosed until last week because I had zero risk factors (PLEASE demand to have that test done by 28 weeks regardless of if you're at risk or not).  Though my baby is somehow healthy, I regret not taking charge of my medical care and demanding answers.  BOTTOM LINE:  If something doesn't seem right, push the issue.  After all, this is your child we're talking about.

  7. from what i remember ya. i got slim when i was 3 months too. but just wait until u hit 6 months and up ull get bloated. remmeber ur feeding ur baby and dont worry about ur body. just excercise and it will be a breeze. excercise a lot.
