I was sitting at my desk and all the sudden I felt a whole lot of liquid coming out of me, I didn't make any movement or anything that could cause me to pee myself, but when I went to the bathroom my undies were all wet. No color or smell. Is this normal?

  1. discharge is normal at all stages of pregnancy.. a clear oderless liquid rushing out of you is definately not. all 3 of my babies had this issue, starting as early as 31 weeks. but you definately have to go and get it checked out.. they'll do something with a fancy name that theyll just call a "fern" test......take a sample of the fluid and look at it under the microscope.. "ferning" means that its amniotic fluid..and in that case you probably arent going to leave the hospital without a baby. its very highly unlikely. at 26 weeks theyre going to keep you on bedrest and try to keep the baby in as long as possible, but eventually you'll develop a fever (infection) and theyll have to deliver you. best wishes, and i really hope you just peed yourself!

  2. No, you should not be losing fluid . . . some women have bladder control  issues during pregnancy but you said there was no color or smell.

Get to the doctor ASAP to get checked out - better to be safe than sorry.

    Best wishes!

  3. I suggest calling your OB. You may be leaking amniotic fluid.
