Mac OS X has many similarities and differences to windows.  Mac OS X is based on BSD Unix (it runs it internally) but it has a GUI to make it easy to use.  The main application "Finder" is different but can be similar to "My Computer" on Windows.   Many Applications for Mac OS have PC counterparts, like Firefox, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint, etc.   However, there are some differences like iMovie, iChat, etc that are specific to mac.  If you know Windows well, Mac OS X will not be a huge learning curve.

No not at all windows u will find very user-friendly where mac is not that easy to use u must have an complete knowledge about it then only u can use it

No, it look and feels very different, in my view more difficult and simplified too much but I am someone who could dance on any computer interface within 5 minutes.
