Is machu picchu closing?

someone told me that machu picchu will be closing down, most likely for good, due to conservational reasons. Is this true?? I can't seem to find any info where it confirms this.....

Well, I was just there.  And it won't be a rumor if the tourist keep not respecting this wonder of the world.  They were climbing all over areas they were not allowed on, and we found cigarette butts and empty water and drink bottles along our hiking. If people don't start respecting, they will destroy this gem sooner then later!
