Is maintenance too high?

I'm planning to buy an apartment in NY about $1.2M The maintenance is $2.000. Is it too high? I think its too high. Its like rent! What do you think? Can I do something about it?

No, that is something you will have to factor into the affordability when deciding what piece of real estate to buy.  Some people might choose to pay less if, for example a doorman is not all that important to them or whatever the monthly fee includes as its amenities.
