OMG,

There are many ways to make money online. The real trick is sorting out the legitimate money-makers from all the scams that are out there (many of which get listed at Yahoo Answers, I'm afraid).

There's a terrific list at eHow that gives more than 25 legitimate ways to make money online.  The list covers everything from writing (articles, blogs), to selling photography, to (believe it or not) getting paid for online jury duty, surveys, and focus groups.

There's even a site for making money listening to music and rating it, and another for playing online games.

None of the sites in the article ask you for any money.  And while they won't make you rich, you can begin to build up a respectable income.  Some of the sites do have geographical restrictions on who can participate, so take a careful look at their policies.

One of the beauties of the internet is that we are just all now in one huge global marketplace, which theoretically means that it doesn't matter where you live, as long as you have a computer connection, you can make money online.

That is provided, of course, that there are not any local restrictions, but I doubt it.  There are many well known legitimate internet marketers that have made a lot of money online and that come from Malaysia.

As far as how to do it, that's like asking "How long is a piece of string?" There are so many ways to make money online and, contrary to one of the previous answers, it definitely is possible, and it definitely is not a scam!

Don't get me wrong, there are scams out there, and a lot of it depends on your mindset.  I have been lucky enough not to have wasted too much money and time on scams, but that is basically because I have realized to make big money online, you need to:

1)  Create your own products

2)  Brand yourself

3)  Foster relationships with others within your niche.

One of the great marketers out there is well known for saying the following:

When you're looking at working from home there's basically two choices. You'll either be working for a company, or working for yourself. I'm not sure how you'd work for a normal company from home but I'm sure most people working online work for themselves anyway.

I've been a work at home mom for 3 years and believe me if you wanna work at home it's gonna take some hard work and a lot of research.
