Like if you did a picture of something they love? I thought it would be a nice idea as I like to think I'm quite good at it :P haha, but I don't want it to seem like I'm almost showing off...I don't know. :S Would you appreciate it?

  1. Well I think it's a lovely idea.

  2. yeah =) if you keep their interest, style and thought in the picture....

for example: i like orchids, i love abstract art and adore things in black and white...

if you painted a colorful picture with orchids, i'd think it was cool, BUT if you painted an abstract orchid in black and white, i'd love it =)

so take that into consideration! good luck!

  3. I think it would be a wonderful gift.  It's something personal just from you that no one else can purchase in a store.  I would love someone to give me a gift like that!!

  4. I paint for my friends or give them prints of my pictures sometimes, for birthdays and other occasions.  It doesn't seem like you're showing off, it just shows that you've thought about them and put time into their gift.  I would appreciate it!  And I'm sure that whomever you might give the painting/ piece to would appreciate it as well. XD

  5. No, its a great idea!  I would love a little home-made gift, actually, for my birthday last week my boyfriend made me a dice, out of steel, he bent it and welded it and all that and its brilliant!  Best gift I could ever ask for!

  6. I would totally appreciate it.  It would show me that you had thought of something personal and that you had lovingly made a special gift.  So much nicer than something bought in a shop and also original.

Its not showing off its using your talents and sharing them.  You keep going.

  7. Yeah that'd be cool as long as you're as good as you say.

  8. If you have the talent, then the person will love it.  It would be something no-one else will have!

  9. a unique gift is always better than something bought from a shop.  Your thought, time and effort is worth more than money.

  10. I think that is a very generous gift to give to someone.  I would rather have a homemade gift with some thought put into it then something someone could easily pick out of a store.  It shows you've put some effort into it.

  11. I would love a gift like this....it shows you have really put thought into the gift and it's sentimental.....all great if you're with someone who apprieciates this sort of gift and isn't too materialistic.

  12. no i think that it is a very thoughtful gift

it means that you actually put an effort in the gift

instead of walking into target and picking up a gift card

    i would appreciate it!

    :D

  13. I think if someone puts the time and effort in to doing something for another person it is worth its weight in gold and it would be an odd person indeed that did not appreciate it.  Only thing I would say is also consider their taste.  Probably you cannot go wrong with a picture of something they love but anything else I would put serious thought in to it, not make it too large and the type of picture they could hang anywhere in the house so as not to embarrass them say with a huge picture they feel oblidged to put up in their main lounge.  If you feel it is much appreciated and you are willing and you think they would want another picture then next time ask them if there is anything they would particularly like and for what room in the house that you could judge size etc. I certainly wish I had a friend like you !

  14. Well last Christmas i painted Winnie The Pooh for my older sister. She Loved it

So this year I'm doing he rest of the characters.

If you have made something y hand it is normally very personal and the person whether they like it or not, appreciate that you did it all by hand which makes them like it more :)

  15. yeah itll be a good preasent cause itll show you care about them  enough to make a preasent insteaad of just going out and buying one

  16. I would like it if it were something that was good enough to frame and hang up.  Which most things made like that are even if it's a poem and pictures because it comes from the heart which is way more valuable than anything you can buy!  If you can, add a description or something that made you think of that person while creating the piece....wish I had a friend like that/you!

  17. Yeh i would totally appreciate it.....making something means its coming from the heart & that there's alot of thought that went into it & it'll be more sentimental, something they would/should cherrish forever! U go to a shop & buy something, it's not the same thought that goes into it!
