Is malaysia's state of economy on par with other countries around the world ?

Malaysia has obtained its independence since 1957.Some malaysians feel nothing has changed economically while others agree Malaysia's economic state is at par with countries around the world.Discuss.

i think malaysia economy is good.as example after our independence we use sri lanka as our guide and now let`s see where are we standing compared to sri lanka???i hope this can be maintained in the future and one day malaysia can become one of the rich country
