Is male hearing more sensitive in the evening?

I've heard so via a communications professor, but can't find much data over the internet. Supposedly it is the opposite of female hearing, which is more sensitive in the morning.

That doesn't sound true to me. I checked GoogleScholar and found a few studies that were done on gender differences in hearing. Both of the ones that used time-of-day as a variable show no difference between genders.
