  1. first ofall:     if you think about it, it is really impossible for a tiny car to change the atmosphere in the wrold. just think of how HUUUGEEE the earth is!!

not even all the cars in the world cxan make a differnece. if you put all the cars and aoutomobiles in a lil bunch adn looked from space, you would have to zoom in like 500 or more times to be able to see the speck they all created.

second of all:       its just a scam to convince peole the world is over populating, which further supports the abortion and g*y thingys.

  2. It's worse than hypothetical; it's an intentional scam.

  3. The earth is in a warming trend, but to think that humans have any significant impact on it is quite a stretch.

Keep in mind that all of the computer models that Al Gore and his idiots use don't take into consideration WATER VAPOR or the SUN.  How can you blame global warming on humans and not consider the sun??!!!  Be aware of lefty libs and their political adgendas!!!  They are using fear to try to influence you!!!

  4. to some it is like the chicken little story of old but to others it is real and getting more so the earth is going to get some changes every 10,000 or so years there is a shift and we are getting ready for one they say

  5. Not a fact, but the climate is changing. We certainly have an affect on the way the planet changes, but so does everything else. No matter what we do nature will find a way to cope, we could become extinct or live on earth for millions of years.

Global warming and climate change are not the biggest problems we have. Pollution with volatile chemicals and destroying the diversity of the planet are far worse than giving off some CO2.

  6. FACT!!

  7. Do your own research. You will find that we have problems with GW. The models we made are not working, but in some cases it is worse. The poles seem to be far more susceptible to GW. When we look at climate change, where the temperature is more extreme up and down, more flooding, more droughts, more cyclones, more places cold, more places hot and getting hotter. We are making new models right now to put in the data we have learned. To learn more about these subjects go to CoolingEarth.org

  8. It's a myth, promoted by that ridiculous mad liberal, Al Gore, who also claimed to have invented the Internet.

  9. Man-made global climate change is a theory.  In scientific terms, a theory is a hypothesis that has been tested many times and is generally accepted to be true by the scientific community.

  10. It is a scam to make money. There are a lot of people bought into the lie.

  11. There is currently no evidence that man has made any significant contribution to climate change.

    Some interesting facts.

    1. During most of the past 2,000 years, the temp has been about the same or higher. Currently, we are barely over the average for the last 2,000 years.

    2. During the medieval warm period (820 – 1040 AD), Greenland supported farming. Those areas previously farmed are now covered in glaciers. Obviously the melting and reformation of glaciers is a cyclical occurrence.

    3. The earth experienced a little ice age which ended around the late 1860's or so. This is about the time man started recording temperatures. This would be like measuring a lake depth after a severe drought, then worrying about it flooding as it rose to normal levels.

    4. The earth has been warming for the last 18,000 years, since the last major glacier time period. During this time frame, the glaciers have been melting at a fairly consistent rate. Also, for most of the last 1 billion years, the earth had NO glaciers or ice coverage.

    5. The AGW theory states that CO2 is the primary driver of temperature. They arrived at this idea because they did not know of anything else which could cause it. But during the 70's and during the current decade, temperatures dropped while CO2 continued to rise. This means that natural occurrences are driving temp, not CO2.

    6. The Pacific Decadal Oscillation and sun spots provides a much better correlation to earths' temperature than CO2 levels ever have.

    7. Polar Bears are experiencing a population boom. Coke sales in the arctics are through the roof. Polar Bears have been around for thousands of years, and remember, we are only at the average for the last 2,000 years. They lived through all the previously warmer climates.

    8. Many glaciers are expanding. Even Antarctica is growing on 98% of is land mass. Only 2% is melting.

    9. There is no consensus on AGW. This was a lie that has been propagated by the media.

    10. Yes we emit CO2 into the atmosphere and it is a greenhouse gas, but, we only contribute about .28% of all the greenhouse effect. Water vapor makes up about 95% of the greenhouse effect. CO2 and other trace gases round out the greenhouse gases at about 5% for all of them. Of that 5%, only 3% is CO2, and most of that is natural. Again, our contribution to the greenhouse effect is a paltry .28%

    11. The spread of disease is not attributed mainly to temperature. If this were the case, Florida would be a giant festering disease ridden cesspool. Economic standing is the primary determining factor in the spread of disease. Poor cultures can not fight the disease or eradicate the pests like more successful nations.

    12. Natural climate disasters (hurricanes, cyclones, etc) have never been scientifically linked to global warming (whether natural or man made).

  12. Global climate CHANGE is both due to humans and nature. Weather has slowly become more extreme since the Industrial Revolution. But the Earth has also gone through periods of climate change before humans even existed.

EDIT: I never said global warming is a fact. I'm saying weather has become more extreme (ie intense hurricanes, increase in tornadoes earlier, more snow). Most of which has happened after IR. If anyone were to actually do any research you'd also find that some scientists think we are heading toward another ice age because the Earth has been in a similar climate pattern before. And before and after that there was an ice age.

I used to be convinced that global warming was due to humans but in one of my classes someone did a presentation on why global warming isn't completely due to humans and why it is a pattern, and convinced me. The only thing I can't get passed is that it is a fact that there is a depletion in the ozone layer that wasn't there before humans and the IR.

    pleistocene extintion before.

awg is a hypothesis. it CANT be proven. and will therefore remain a hypothesis.

physics still hasn't figured out that the "wave function" of light IS the 'way and the Light' that the bible refers to the light in the koran, and according to hinduism, taoism and practically every other religion of substance.

when science figures THAT out I'll believe what they say about awg.

  14. While many think it's hypothetical, believe me it is a fact.  If it were not man-made, temps would NOT be increasing as rapidly as they are right now.  They'd be growing more steadily, and we'd hardly notice the difference.  Since every year we are adding more emmissions to the ozone, plus the ones from b4, global warming is man-made.

  15. Only the arrogance of humans would allow man to believe he (or she) can do anything to affect this planet on the scale of global climate change.

Man builds earthquake resistant structures, yet we still see damage from earthquakes. We have tornado proof buildings that are rebuilt after being destroyed by tornadoes. Same is true with hurricanes, and floods. Man builds structures to withstand these events, yet rebuilds after being destroyed by these events.

In fact, it is proven fact that man cannot control the weather. So, if man cannot control the weather 3-5 days in advance, how can man control the climate 3-5 (or more) years from now?

Finally, weather prediction is not an accurate science 48 hours in the future, yet we are supposed to believe these scientists can tell us the temperature 10-20 years from now.

(Also remember the last 2 winters were 2 of the coldest, wettest, largest snowfall winters in the last 30 years.)

  16. A media myth.

A few months ago PBS reported the concern that ice was melting from the mountain peaks at Machu Piccho in Peru and exposing the ancient burial grounds of the Incas. (12th-15th century AD) And this is proof of global warming?

My question, how did the burial grounds get under the ice?

  17. Neither - it's a scientific theory, like evolution.

A hypothesis is the precursor to a theory.  It's when you come up with an idea, before you test it.  After you test it further, if the hypothesis holds up, it becomes a theory.

A theory cannot become a fact because it cannot be proven.  It can only be supported by scientific data or disproven.

Thus man-made global warming is right between hypothesis and fact.  It's scientific theory, supported by all the scientific evidence.
