Is marco andretti one of the top indy drivers?

i dont follow indy series is he really good or just was having a good day? he isnt living off his family name is he?

hes a good driver but not as good as tony kanaan, scott dixon, dan wheldon, danica patrick, helio castroneves, vitor meira.

hes getting there though.

today, he dissappointed me in ways i cannot begin to explain....

As soon as he grows into his adult racing shoes, he will be.  Right now he seems to be caught up in the glory of being a hot shot.

Yes he is.  He will win Indy within the next 3 years.  I feel what he gets from the Andretti name is an ability to drive a race car, and quite well, too

He certainly seems to have some talent. I think that he still has some growing to do as a driver, as is attested by today's less than attentive move that put his teammate (Kannan) and another skilled driver (Fischer) out of the race.

I'm sure he'll get there.
