Is martini glass the same as cocktail glass?

i heard that the cocktail glass is a lil bigger than the martini one, but by how much? Can you give me the precise size for each?

No, Cocktail glass is a general name. A martini glass comes in 6, 8 and 10 oz sizes. The best is the 10oz glass, as it can hold a traditional martini and also be used for the more elaborate martini's such as a chocola'tini or apple'tini.
