I'm wondering if this depends on how the Dr. bills your insurance. I am new to all this after a bad accident and looking for people who have been through this! So is massage considered part of Chiropratic coverage? I called the insurance and she wasn't clear with me. Thanks for your help and kind words.

  1. Usually it is not covered under chiropractic.  It's typically a separate benefit that you may or may not have.  Sometimes, if you don't have the benefit, a chiropractor will use a billable code in order to get it covered.  It's dishonest, but it happens.

  2. It's definitely going to depend on how your plan is written. Find out what billing code they use and call your insurance company, or have the provider call about benefits.

  3. learn to understand some principle conception before accept any suggestion is a great idea. Here is great place to start.http://insurance.free-onlinetip.info/ins...

  4. It depends on what state you're in and what your insurance covers. Some states, you can get both massage and chiropractic therapy on same visit paid by insurance, some don't. Some will pay if the chiropractor performs the massage/soft tissue therapy in addition to chiropractic therapy, some don't.

Consult with your chiropractor's receptionist or insurance biller, they may have a dedicated line to call to the insurance to verify your benefits.
