  1. the orthodox christian church is against masturbation because the act itself is "self-abuse" and you are exciting yourself with sexual thoughts in order to fufill sexual pleasure. considering masturbation does no express love toward one person(specifically husband/wife) then it is a form of adultery. Masturbation is considered a sin and should be confessed to a priest.
