Yeah he still plays as they don't really have a lot of quality central defenders these days. They are having to bring right and left backs into central position to cover. But he has been injured and hasn't been the same since. He is still half injured.

I mean, he was never a bad player as a defender, but certainly not a popular or a much liked one.

But I think now that Juventus's young Chiellini has made quite an impression both club and nationally, we shouldn't be seeing much of Materazzi in the Italy matches anymore

I like him, as an Italian he can help your team out a lot! he is a great defender and he can score goals, and he plays dirty but he can get away with stuff, im sure  any one not from Italy would want him on there team.
