  2. Look its up to you if u are a computer addict or technocrat then go for MCA and that too from a good insti like IIT /NIT otherwise u can go for IT based management MBA

  3. mba definately

  4. ya mca is surely better because you have already completed ur batchler degree from software field, but if u want to do mba you can choose mba with spacialization in IT or system

  5. Hi...

I am doing my MCA from KJ Somiaya so i feel i can answer your question..

See, if you have the itch for the technical aspect of things..for example, if you want to make a career in development (coding) or in testing (Quality analysis) then choosing MCA will give you good coverage..plus if you do it from a good college then in the 3rd year, the college helps you to get a job in a company too...

On the other hand, if you want to get more into the management aspect of things..like you want to go into project management or a similar field like that then doing MBA is better.

In MCA also you have a management subject in every semester..o its not that you wont be learning anything about management at all if you take MCA..but of course..the focus in MCA is more on building you for a software development oriented job...

In MBA..you have something like MBA in IT..where your major subject is Information Technology..there you will be not taught about coding..but you will be taught about managing the different projects that a company gets..

Its gonna be like..MCAs will be working under you..

And a salary of an MBA is also higher in general than the salary of an MCA...But dont let that influence your decision..salary should not be your deciding factor...your deciding factor should be knowing what your interest is and making a career in that..

Its also not that if you do an MCA, then you will not ever become a manager...you definitely can.but itll take some years...your initial few years will mainly be in software development.

If you have done your BCA, then you already know about software development...so now you should bein a position to decide whether you want to make a career in software development or no..

My advice is to do an MBA after BCA...but then again it depends on your interest.

What some people also do is that after graduating, you can work in a software company for a few years and then do a part time MBA. Part time mba is not like correspondence..there is a difference and it is recognized..jbims at churchgate provides it too..find out more about part time mba...

And dont think that just graduation cant get you a job...it can!! ...all depends on your interview and your confidence level, knowledge and communication :)

So, i hope i have been able to answer your question...

    All the best!

    Take your time in deciding..
