Question:

Is memory foam made of polyurethane?

I have a 2" polyurethane mattress topper and really like it and it doesn't get hot (even in the summer). I just ordered a 4" one and that one says memory foam (which I thought my 2" was, but when I looked at the box, it does say 100% polyurethane).....so I wonder what the difference is...I don't want one that holds the heat in....and it isn't returnable so I want to know before I open it. Thanks!

  1. Memory foam was originally made out of T-foam, but it gave off too much obnoxious fumes for it to be used in confined spaces. You know, I'd really read this article because it talks about memory foam and what it's made out of... http://memoryfoamreviews.com/memory-foam...

Also, here's a link to the Material Safety Data Sheet on memory foam, which tells you what all is in memory foam: http://memoryfoamreviews.com/private/mem...

    Hope this helps!
