If your talking about the Friendly between Barcelona and NY Red Bulls, Messi will not play.

He is currently in Beijing with the Argentinian Squad.

Fifa ruled that all U-23 players must be released if called upon to their National Team. Barcelona is one of three clubs who have made an appeal against Fifa's ruling to the Court of Arbitration for Sport and their decision on Wed will be the final decision on the matter.

Messi left the club once he heard FIFA made their ruling but may not be allowed to play if the appeal goes in favour of Barcelona
