  1. Her "official" response right now has been pretty vague.  She has retained her amateur status, so there might be a chance she would train for the olympics, but it's hard to know at this point.  If she does want to compete at that high of a level again, she's going to have to hurry up and get started, though.  And it might be difficult, given her limited experience under the new International Judging System with its focus on incredibly flexibility and triple-triple combos.

So, I guess the best anyone can say is "maybe."  We'll know within the next year or so I'd guess, as she'd probably have to get herself in front of international judges again by doing the Grand Prix series and Nationals.  It'd definitely be strange to see her have to qualify through Regionals and Sectionals, though, wouldn't it?

  2. if she likes very much skating she will skate again and awesome I am a skater too!

  3. she is still skating, just not competeing.

  4. geez. i sure hope so. i dont think she will ever compete again, but i really wish she would--or at least go pro. Michelle is AMAZING! she is the BEST skater ever in my opinion. And Scott Hamilton--hes cool too!

  5. I hope she does!

    She is awesone!

but she better hurry if she wants to, other skaters are making their way up too. like the ones that skated in the 2007 Grand Prix.

  6. I sure hope so!  She is still skating to keep in shape, but doesn't really have any set plans on competitions or shows.  It sounds like she's working on "life after skating" right now, but hasn't totally ruled out coming back or at least performing.

  7. I hope she gets into coaching!

  8. She has gone professonal, and doing maybe some ice shows, but still involved with the figure skating world. I think she is bout 26, almost 30, so she is slowly with drawing, but she was my idol in figure skating.

  9. With her hip injuries and her present age, she has no chance to even become US National champion unless the USFSA fakes the scores. She had a triple-triple combo briefly, but it was the easiest combo: Toe-Toe. Two out of the three medallists in the US nats this year can do the toughest triple-triple combo: Lutz-Loop.

If she lost weight she could still try Pair skating to try to beat Maribel Vinson's records in pair and Ice dancing championship golds at US nats, but I don't see that happening.

I could see her doing ice shows or *maybe* become a commentator in the future, but I don't think she will ever coach.

Quite frankly I was never a fan of her skating.

  10. I don't think so

    sorry

    =(

  11. She has not officially answered that question, though she says she would like to skate again. As far as whether or not she skates again we'll have to wait and see.
