Is microsoft powerpoint XP and 2007 the same?

They have the same functionality but slightly different features and different interfaces.  Powerpoint XP is two or three versions earlier than Powerpoint 2007.

I'm not a bog powerpoint user but all the other software ie Excel, Word etc is vastly different and as such quite complicated when you are profficent in the xp versions
