Is mid Oct a good time to visit Bali?

There is almost always sun in Bali. Even on rainy season, there will be a day or two with good sun.

Nusa Dua is lovely, especially the stratch of white sandy shores past the Hilton. It is a public beach and you could enjoy the same pristine waters enjoyed by those who come to Bali and stay in 5-star resorts in Nusa Dua.

oh yeah... went there couple of years back at exactly the same month... i think its one of the month whereby most tourist visits.. so OCT is perfect timing....

Yes, Its a good time to visit.. It will be cheaper & quieter as well, non-peak season.. Weather is also cooler, with some rain..

You might want to be there since early Oct. They have commemoration in rememberance of Bali bombing victims. First Bali bombing was 12 Oct 2002, and second was 1 Oct 2005, if I'm not mistaken. To cheer up the ambiance and as a sign that the people have moved on from the tragedy, there's usually a festival of bazaar come along.

FYI, this year Ramadan holy months falls until 30 Sept and the majority of Indonesians will have Eid-al-Fitr celebration on 1-2 Oct. Meaning: Indonesia's holiday season and peak season for hospitality industry. You'd better have early reservation.

dry season is from April to October and is seen as the best time to visit, as the rest of the year is quite humid.

Every time always be  good time to Bali, it's true caused you'll never get bored in Bali, although october is a rainy season but you'll always find wonderful sun rise and sun set there. getting sun bath on a white softly sand in the beach is the un imagine atmospheric, what's an experienced you'll find there. So call your mates, get packed now, get the ticket, fly to Bali, and get a full of joy and your dream vacation in Bali. But don't forget to visit Bangka Belitung Island too ... :)
