Is middle school between yr6-9 and high school between 10-13? i'm confused...?

because where i live we don't start IGCSE till yr 10 and 12-13 is IB

six years old starts 1st grade. elementary is through 5th middle school is 6-8 and high school is 9-12

Middle School for me was 7-8 and high school was grades 9-12.

Where I live we start kindergarden at age 5 and continue through to grade 6, Junior High (grades 7-9) at age 12, High School (grades 10-12) at age 15.
