  1. I think soy milk is better for you,still get calcium but less fat in take. Plus it comes in many different flavors where as milk does not.


  2. Milk isn't partically good for you and there is no need at all for anyone past the infant age to consume it. No other animal in the world besides Humans continue to drink milk past the infant stage. according to some sites such as the one in my sources they go onto to name a load of conditions/diseases that milk contributes to. Whether it's BS or not though is beyond me. Anyhows your much better off drinking water or real fruit juices as they are actually good for you. Though I'm sure milk in moderation isn't going to kill you or anything :)

    As for people who say it's good for healthy strong bones. That's a load of c**p. You don't need milk for strong bones. Plenty of people in the world never drink milk and have no bone issues at all. It's just a lie fed to you by the milk industry to make you buy milk. You get more than enough calcium from plenty of other foods you already eat.

  3. no , there is lots of calcium, very good for bones...semi skimmed is perfect..and skimmed eeerk too watery ! .i am allergic to that so i mix a lil' bit of water in whole milk because its too fatty and creamy lol !

  4. There are bad milks and there are good milks.

    The bad milks are those that are pumped from hormone induced cows where the hormones seep into you slowly and can cause weird hair coming out and stuff.

    The good milk comes from organice non homrone. Beyond the usual vitamins and keeping bones strong, milk soothes alergies and some natural bacteria are beneficial for your stomach.

    I used to drink only milk when I was a boy. I strongly think thats where I got my 6'1" size and large rib bones which are good for fighting. But I used to drink hormone reduced fat milk and it made me hairy, so I started on organic and only drink a glass a day and I'm no longer hairy.

    And its quite fattening as well (full fat anyway). I think semi-skimmed's okay. We get that.

  10. Well... it's relative... Compared to Coke, and other drinks you could say Milk is good for you.  But compared to water?  Or fresh squeeze juice?  Milk is actually unhealthy.

    Milk, is for baby cows (calves) not for humans.  Yes, over the years cows have been bred/genetically altered to try to make the milk more palatable to the human stomach.  Humans (mainly caucasians) have also developed better tolerance for milk digestion.

    It's also not true that you need milk for calcium.  For thousands of years humans got calcium from vegables and other natural substances that humans would naturally eat as part of their diet.   Maybe if your diet has very little vegetables or other whole foods (salmon, etc..) then drinking milk for calcium might be beneficial.  

    But you could use that same arguement to say why eat fruit, vegetables, fish etc?  Just eat crappy processed junk food all day, and pop a multi-vitamin.

    Bottom line is milk is bad for you... but I still drink it cause I like the taste and it's been part of my childhood for so long it's hard to give it up.

  11. Of course not, everything is alright in moderation! Besides, milk has calcium and Vitamin B12 which is very important for strong, healthy bones :)
