Is milton keynes a city?

Cos mum reckons it isn't, and i reckon it is!! it's in the uk, in buckinghamshire

  1. It is DEFINITLY a TOWN.  It had it's city application turned down a couple of years ago, and it will have to have to wait at least 15 more years before they can apply again.  I know this because Swindon, which is close to where I live, applied and were turned down at the same time.

  3. To be eligible for city status, you require a cathedral, milton keynes does'nt have one, it is a relatively new town, with thousands of round-abouts and rabbit hutch style homes.

  5. My mum lives there at the moment and it is a city. She is moving away though as it isn't a very nice city!

  7. Officially it isn't a City, that needs to be granted to you and it wasnt a few years ago (and you dont need a cathedral!). But really it is a city (facilities, size etc) ! And it does have signs that read "Milton Keynes City" so I think youre both right !!
