Is mirror's edge and fps assasin's creed in modern times?

well take out the swords and throwing knives and you get an assasin's creed fps in modern times . WAT THE HELLL is the point of this game? just beat up ninjas and police dudes with your fists and then do what, wats the objective? im not being negative here, just help me understand i anyone should buy this game PLS.

Assassin's Creed was more sandbox play. For instance, you didn't have to run if you didn't want to. Take your time, plan your attack. Use stealth, sneaking, and the ability to blend into crowds. You're an assassin. It's also in 3rd person.

Mirror's Edge is more linear. You have to get from point a to point b. You have to hurry, that's the name of the game. Escape, move, climb, etc. The fighting is just a means to continue to your objective. You'll see that the main character will drop whatever weapon she picks up off the aggressor and keep running. It's also done completely in First Person. Not sure if you noticed but you can't just go anywhere. There's a set path or two and you have to pick on the fly what's the best route. Time is of the essence as this messenger.
