You mean global positioning service. Yes, its available in India, but you need to have permission of the mobile user. On activation you can know the exact area the mobile is being used.

Only central Intelligence/police/national security is allowed to track. Tracking/tapping without the consent of the user is illegal & an offence.

yes recently  cbi have instaleld mobile tracking instrument not only mobile some times satelite communication,,its really problematic for them who are working with virtual phone numbers,,

basically phonex router and server  somtiems its HP,,they are provideing complicated networking facilities,from where ur can trace mobile conversations and some time thy can spamming ,they can use jammer they can filter ur every sms and calls and ur numbers,,,

all this facilits dnt using indian goverments but lots of private companies are using for there busienss purpose,,,illigal way..

its a complicted networking systems...
