No.  Farms were much more efficient when the fields had to be plowed by a cow pulling a plow.  Also, hand harvesting is much faster than using large combines and other machinery to harvest the food.  In addition, they spray modern chemicals like pestisides on the food that are bad for us.  Modern technology has pretty much ruined farming.


  2. Yes! With the modern equipment you can plant more and harvest more, therefore, putting more fuel, food, other commodities on the market for everyone.

    For the farmer, modern computerized equipment helps provide information during planting and harvest. For instance, a computerized combine can give information on the grain being harvested (how many bushels per each acre and plot out the best part of the field vs. worst part using GPS).

  3. improved technology is the ONLY reason agriculture has remained in the US and other developed countries.  Basically, farmers are able to produce higher crop yields at a lower cost and therefore able to compete with goods from other countries, where the cost of living is much lower.

  4. Yes, it would speed up the process providing more food for pplz,,,,,if we didnt have advanced technology we might even start starving
