Is money made out of tree bark or paper?

Its kinda hard I heard from many of my teachers that it is tree bark and my family says paper ????? ;)

  13. Money is made out of 25 % cotton and 75% linen.  Money is more of a cloth than a paper.  It takes alot of work to make it so that counterfeiters have a harder time. but not check counterfeiters

    There is no wood or paper used in our printed money. It’s a custom blend of 25% cotton and 75% linen. It’s closer to cloth than paper. This blend, which can not legally be used by anyone outside the Bureau of Engraving and Printing, is much more durable than ordinary paper.
