Is morning rituals obligatory in the primary schools of the US. What is the most up-to-date situation?

Morning prayers are not allowed in public schools.  Few schools still say the pledge of alegence, but if they do, children do not have to participate because of the words "under God."

Most PUBLIC primary/elementary schools DO say the Pledge of Allegiance.  You must have a good reason to be exempt.  Prayers are not allowed as a part of the school rituals.
