  1. Oblivion is a Sequel to Morrowind, os other way round, though yes Cyrodil is slgiht south west of Morrowind.

so there all onthe smae continent, but the storeis arent much related, beyond that, though events of Morrowind are mentioned when the people are talking in oblivion "You hear about morrowind...."

  2. i dont think it is

  3. No they are 2 COMPLETELY different continents and stories. Morrowind is the 3rd game and Oblivion is the 4th game. So that would be impossible to be a seqeul.

  4. morrowind is  the elder scrolls 3   and thus the prequal to oblivion elder scrolls  4  (  dagger fall is  2 and  arena is  1 )

the  storylines  have very little related morrowind is an island  in the  land of tamriel (  the fictional  continent TES takes place in  )

oblivion takes place in cyrodill and  you can play the games in any  order  you want

morrowind is how ever  alot harder then oblivion with no clear quest markers  you  go at it alone in there

  5. In the Elder Scrolls series, the protagonist (hero) is always a recent ex-convict, always starts out the game either in jail or having just been released from jail, and is always born with a destiny to become a hero. How that destiny unfolds is unique to each game; each game has a different storyline.

Games in the Elder Scrolls series also always take place in different provinces in the continent of Tamriel. (e.g. Morrowind takes place in the province of Morrowind, while Oblivion takes place in the province of Cyrodiil.)  For a map of Tamriel, see this link:

The games in the Elder Scrolls series are, in order:

    1)  The Elder Scrolls: Arena

    2) The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall

    3) The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind

    - The Elder Scrolls III: Tribunal (expansion pack for Morrowind)

    - The Elder Scrolls III: Bloodmoon (expansion pack for Morrowind)

    4) The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion

    - The Elder Scrolls IV: Knights of the Nine (expansion pack for Oblivion)

    - The Elder Scrolls IV: Shivering Isles (expansion pack for Oblivion)

Since Morrowind is the third game in the series and Oblivion is the fourth, it follows that Oblivion is the sequel to Morrowind.  But even though the games are a part of the same series, they are only related in that they share the same general environment (Tamriel), races and skills.  It doesn't mean that the heroes are related, nor that there is only one hero for all of Tamriel.
