  1. I dont think so. Theres a lot of white sauces and pasta which = carbs. Tood much of anything is unhealthy though.

  2. real Italian food- yes. They serve much smaller portions, use lots of veggies, a bit of oil, and just a touch of cream and cheese to enrich the dishes

American Italian food that you get in a restaurant- no way. A single serving of Alfredo anything can have up to 3000 calories.

Again, it's all about portion control. Our bodies need carbs and cholesterol to survive, but we do not need a pound of pasta and a stick of butter.

here is a link that will give you recipes for light and healthy italian food.

  4. The Mediterranean diet is great, healthy..

  5. no

  6. it's not all bad .. a lot of the Italian food that we eat in the states is a lot richer than what the Italian has on his table on a daily basis. You'll find that you can eat italian and still eat fairly light. like Caprese ... Carpaccio and tomato based sauces with just a hint of olive oil. Mediteranean food is know for being healthier than a lot of other food types, you just have to watch what you get.

  7. Good day,
