  1. You should go, I heard Dubai is a wonderful place.

  2. The employer has to get him an employment visa, and it is up to the employer whether the job is a single-status assignment (no dependents allowed to come), or family status (employer will arrange dependent visas).  It is entirely possible that you will not be allowed to enter Dubai, and it is probably not your decision to make.

The UK, US, & Canada are all in recession -- only "smoke-&-mirrors" statistical manipulations are keeping the truth from the general public.  You have to go to the actual data, but all 3 have been recession since late '07/early '08.

  3. You need to check with your husbands potential employer in Dubai and see if they are willing to pay your children's school fees.  If they are, it might be worth the move.  If they don't, which a lot of them have stopped, then it is more expensive than what you pay in the UK.  Make sure your housing costs are covered, and your home will be in Dubai.  Expect to pay 200-300,000dhs for a villa, a little less for an apartment.
