Yes, the M.Tech IT degree of KARNATAKA STATE OPEN UNIVERSITY is fully valid and approved by UGC. Anyone who pursues M.Tech IT from KSOU is fully eligible for the post of Lecturer/Assistant Professor in a Government institution / University as well as in the Private job.

No need of approval from AICTE as it is recognised by DEC. For more information B.tech from IIT'S,BITS PILANI are also not recognised by AICTE.

The course of KSOU approved by DEC as AICTE has nothing to do with correspondance cource. Aii the professional courses should be certified by some professional council. like Law course can be certified by Bar council of India, Medical should be by All india Medical council, Engineering by AICTE. In the same way Distance education should be certified by DEC.
