It can be good; however it depends on the hunter and the property.  It will be a very primitive hunt, in that area.  Don't expect much in the way of blinds and cabins.  Expect to hunt wide open, rocky, mountainous terrain.  In addition, land management is critical.  If you hunt at a guided, managed ranch, you'll do well.  If you are looking at the cheap land for sale on craigslist, or the "ranchette" sites, good luck.  There won't be a road or any utilities on the property and it is in the middle of nowhere.  Hot in the summer, like real danged hot, and cold, WINDY, winters.  Good luck; don't buy anything out there without seeing it...  The muleys are there, though, but this is the roughest country in Texas.  I prefer civilized central Texas, south Texas, or hillcountry hunting.  West Texas hunting is like hunting in Wyoming... about as desolate too.
